Lucy Roberts – An Elite Woman in Insurance

Lucy has been in the insurance industry for over 40 years. She initially worked as an Underwriter prior to joining Interlink Insurance Brokers a year after its establishment in 1987. As Interlink grew over the next 10 years, she progressed within the company to be appointed a director and has been with Interlink for over 35 years.

She is a leader and role model within the WA Insurance Industry and was one of the very few women appointed to a director’s role in the 1990s. By breaking through the unofficial glass ceiling, Lucy showed to many women that it could be done and with hard work, expertise and determination, they too, could achieve the same.

As the insurance industry continues to evolve, Lucy has become a mentor to a number of other women at Interlink as they progress through the ranks within our organisation. She enjoys nothing more than watching her team grow as people and continues to encourage them to have the confidence to believe that there is nothing they cannot achieve.

Lucy is responsible for the Corporate Business Team at Interlink. She is a specialist in construction/ engineering insurance and the contractual and technical requirements that are necessary for representing complex businesses in these industries.

On a personal note, I have known Lucy for over 20 years, and she went out of her way to share her knowledge with me when I came to Perth from the UK in 2000, so I have firsthand experience of her training and influence.
